Terminal T4 at Iași Airport: Doubling Capacity and Advantages for Moldovan Passengers

Iași Airport is preparing to open a new chapter in its history with the completion of the construction of Terminal T4 by the end of this year. This ambitious project, which will allow the first flights to be operated in 2024, is an important step in modernizing Romania's airport infrastructure.

Terminal T4, set to become the second-largest terminal in the country after Henri Coandă International Airport, marks a significant development for Iași International Airport. It will not only double the passenger processing capacity to 3.5 million annually but also enhance comfort and efficiency.

A standout feature of this project is the integration of a photovoltaic park that will supply approximately 20% of the airport's energy needs, positioning Iași International Airport as a pioneer in the use of renewable energy in Romania.

The facilities of the new terminal are designed to improve the travel experience for passengers. It will include seven boarding gates, three airbridges, four gates at Arrivals, five security checkpoints plus one VIP, 20 check-in desks, and eight self-check-in systems. Additionally, the terminal will feature a modern parking area with 600 spaces.

Thus, the airport is gearing up to become a vital center for the region, significantly impacting the development of Iași County and the entire area. The modernization of the airport is great news not only for Iași residents but also for Moldovan passengers, who benefit from fast and comfortable connections to Iași Airport through the transport company EtnoLines.
